Chris Mjelde has been with The Peak since 2012. He works as a career firefighter for the Butte – Silver Bow Fire Department, and has spearheaded the technical rescue aspects of the department. Bringing that experience to The Peak, Chris works as a lead medical instructor in Wilderness First Aid, as well as with various rope rescue, extrication, avalanche training, winter survival, backcountry traversing, and can usually be found assisting with the various other roles needed for the variety of trainings The Peak offers. As an avid backcountry skier with a passion for the outdoors, when not at work you can usually find him climbing and skiing in the mountains.
