Texas, USA – The Texas Army National Guard (TXARNG) hired The Peak Inc. out of Butte, MT to provide the Enhanced Fitness Program to over 18,000 of its Soldiers.
The Enhanced Fitness Program provides “Train the Trainer” (TTT) courses to TXARNG Master Fitness Trainers (MFT’s), Readiness NCO’s and other key unit leaders in order to educate them in mindset, goal setting, stress, recovery, training safety, injury prevention and in how to use the Volt Athletics application. The TTT courses have been offered at U.S. Army installations in Austin, San Antonio, Grand Prairie and Houston. A team of instructors from The Peak and Volt Athletics has joined forces to provide mobile training utilizing key members of their companies.
According to Rich Moravec, The Peak’s Director of Human Performance Optimization, “the Enhanced Fitness Program is a huge investment in Soldiers as they face the challenge of preparing for the Army Combat Fitness test during FY20. The TXARNG leadership realizes the inherent challenges this presents and has taken proactive steps to set their Soldiers up for success.”
The Peak is also training the North Carolina Army National Guard and is poised to be a premier provider of holistic human performance optimization services to a variety of conventional and special operation forces organizations. Rod Alne, the owner of The Peak, Inc. states “The Peak, Inc. is proud to be working with the TXARNG to help their Soldiers meet the standards for the new ACFT. It is great to see this initiative get off the ground as fitness is an important pillar for Soldiers enabling them to safely operate in today’s environment.”
The Peak has partnered with Volt Athletics on the TXARNG project. Volt is a leader in mobile performance training application delivery and the company has recently broken into the tactical performance realm through their partnership with The Peak. Volt has been able to deliver its industry-leading application to more than 18,000 Soldiers in the TXARNG. Through collaboration with The Peak, the Volt application provides a 52-week preparation program for the Army Combat Fitness Test. Soldiers are able to scale their training sessions based on the equipment they have at their disposal, but everything, from warm-up to cool-down is provided to them through the Volt app.
The Peak will continue to run the TTT courses throughout the remainder of FY20 in order to ensure TXARNG MFT’s and key leaders are fully empowered to lead their Soldiers to ACFT success.
