North Carolina, USA – The North Carolina Army National Guard (NCARNG)has hired The Peak Inc. out of Butte, MT to provide the Remedial Fitness and Nutrition Program under the Fit 2 Serve initiative.
Soldiers volunteer for this program and are assigned for six months. Following an initial six-day camp, where Soldiers receive a myriad of training tools and education, they are tracked for six months. Every two months, Soldiers return to Camp Butner for a reassessment. Master Fitness Trainers (MFT’s) are assigned 3-5 Soldier participants to coach, mentor and track throughout their assignment to the program.
Following the initial camp for FY20, one Soldier participant said “I am extremely satisfied! This camp was not what I expected and not only do I know I will exceed my goals, but I will come back and help others.”
The Peak team provides a full spectrum of holistic human performance optimization services and emphasizes mindset, goal setting, behavioral modification, exercise instruction, injury prevention, stress management and recovery education. In addition to classroom instruction, Soldiers complete a number of effective practical exercises to reinforce learning and solidify vital techniques that they have learned. Soldiers set goals for themselves that emphasize things that they can control.
To deliver the exercise programming, The Peak partnered with Volt Athletics. The two companies are working together with over 18,000 Soldiers in the Texas Army National Guard in addition to the NCARNG. Volt Athletics has revolutionary Artificial Intelligence (AI) and delivers The Peak’s exercise programming to NCARNG Soldiers no matter where they are. Soldiers are able to scale exercises, at the touch of a button, to match the equipment they have available for any training session. Following the initial camp for FY20, an experienced MFT stated “I loved all of it!. This is an amazing improvement from the previous program and I think Soldiers loved it and want to implement lifestyle changes. The Volt app is amazing!”
